Marvel Developing Agent Carter TV Series

A couple of days ago Deadline reported that Marvel and ABC are working on a TV series featuring Agent Peggy Carter who was played by Haley Atwell in both the Captain America: First Avenger film, and the Agent Carter one shot that was a bonus on the Iron Man 3 Blu-ray and DVD. Deadline would go onto mention that it's one of several series that Marvel are working on, and that they are looking for a writer. It is also unclear whether or not Atwell will reprise the role if the series is ever made.

My Thoughts 

I enjoyed Agent Carter in the Captain America film, and also in the one shot but I question whether it would work as an ongoing series, and whether it will work in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that is getting built. I also question whether Marvel and ABC are jumping the gun slightly, as although it's only in early stages they may have wanted to wait till the first episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was released as it's only a few days away now.
