KRAVEN THE HUNTER Gets Savage NEW Trailer

It's set to be a busy year for Sony and its Spider-Man Universe, with the studio bringing not one, but two silver screen outings this year. Having already given us a spectacular trailer for Venom: The Last Dance, the studio momentarily shifts focus to their December release, dropping a brand new trailer for Kraven the Hunter.

Set to the classic Johnny Cash song, “The Man Comes Around,” the trailer shows our hunter become the hunted, with his past appearing to come back to haunt him. Starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Sergei Kravinoff, the film is set to delve into the future villains past, with his evil father (Russell Crowe) having a part to play in all this. We also get a look at what Kraven will be up against, as well as the hunters half-brother Dmitri Smerdyakov (Fred Hechinger), with it sure to be interesting to see how the latter turns into the villainous Chameleon.

Having shifted its release date three times over the course of production, it is nice to finally see the popular villain finally make his way to the big screen. Now given how Sony have packaged these villain centred flicks, it will be interesting to see what picture Kraven is painted in. Where they've turned Venom into a somewhat anti-hero, Kraven needs to remain the villain. How he gets to this point is up for exploration, something the film looks like it's going to dive into, but I think fans would feel cheated if we don't get the great hunter going after the spider.

Kraven the Hunter is set to stalk its way into cinemas December 13th.
