Marvel released yet another three teasers on Wednesday for their All-New Marvel NOW! with another project written by Nathan Edmondson teased as "Hunted" featuring artwork from Mitch Gerads, a project written and drawn by Richard Isanove teased as "Wrath" and a project written by Felipe Smith teased as "Overdrive" featuring artwork from Tradd Moore. On top of this Marvel released another five teasers for their All-New Marvel NOW! today, with a project written by Al Ewing teased as "Trust" featuring artwork from Lee Garbett, two projects written by Ales Kot, the first of which Comic Book Resources got an exclusive on teased as "Defend" featuring artwork from Garry Brown, and the other being teased as "Frenemies" featuring artwork from Michael Walsh, a project Newsarama got an exclusive on written by Chris Yost teased as "War" featuring artwork from Marcus To, and another project that Comic Book Resources got an exclusive on written by Dennis Hopeless teased as "Descent" featuring artwork from Kev Walker. Also like the previous teasers full details won't be released until the New York Comic Con.
My Thoughts
Now some of these I have found rather simple possibilities for, and others are a bit trickier. "Hunted" initially makes me think of Kraven the Hunter, and with this being revealed at the Superior Spider-Man panel I'd assume that this has something to do with him. "Wrath" initially had me thinking of Ghost Rider, but after noticing that it will reveal more details at the Amazing X-Men panel it probably isn't. This however now has me thinking that it's a new Savage Wolverine arc, as that has been having a lot of story arcs where the writer is also the artist. "Overdrive" actually has me quite stumped as the only possibly thing I can think of is yet again a new Ghost Rider series. The yellow and green lettering of "Trust" makes me think of the Heroes For Hire and Luke Cage so I personally think that this will be the revelation of a new Mighty Avengers story arc. Yet again the colour scheme of "Defend" kind of drops the biggest hint making me think of Iron Patriot, and along with the fact that Kot is becoming writer for Secret Avengers it makes me think that this is a new story arc for that series, though the fact that it's not being revealed at the Avengers panel makes me think that it may be a new Iron Patriot series instead. A new Secret Avengers arc may however be what "Frenemies" is teasing at, as with it being revealed at the Avengers panel it makes more sense. "War" again could be anything, though with Yost as writer and the fact that it's going to be revealed at the Superior Spider-Man panel it narrows it down a bit. I personally think that it'll be a new story arc for Superior Spider-Man Team-Up. Finally I think that "Descent" will be a new arc for Avengers Arena, as although I originally thought it may be a new Uncanny X-Force arc, the fact that it's being revealed at the Avengers panel makes me think otherwise.
Update
Since I posted this Marvel has released yet another teaser, which Newsarama again got an exclusive on, being teased as "Extinction" written by Sam Humphries with artwork from Andre Arujo and once again full details won't be released until the New York Comic Con.
My Thoughts
With this being revealed at the Avengers panel of the New York Comic Con it would make sense that this is another arc for the Avengers A.I. series. The name however would suggest that something bad will happen for one or all of the characters involved.

I got this series for quite a while, but dropped it as I could only afford one Spider-Man series so haven't read many since issue 8. I did however get issue 15.1 due to it having the The Amazing Spider-Man #700 aftermath, but it wasn't good enough for me to keep getting. I have however heard brilliant things about this issue, and with one of my favourite artists Marco Checchetto working on it I had to get it.
Plot
Electro has returned, and he's enlisted the help of A.I.M. to transform him into something capable of killing Thor, with Spider-Man (Doctor Octopus) stuck in the middle.
Review
I was very surprised with this issue, as despite hearing great things about it, I never expected it to be as good as it was. As some of you may know, I've had no love for the Superior Spider-Man series, feeling that making Doc Ock Spider-Man isn't working, but this issue shows that it can. Christopher Yost has done a beyond excellent job on this issue, and he's done a better job on this one issue than Dan Slott has done on the entire Superior Spider-Man series so far. Although I wasn't fond of Yost's work on his opening issue in this series, #15.1, I did think that he had the ability to make something out of this series, as that issue wouldn't have given him much creative opportunity. To be honest I can't fault anything about his writing, as the story was very interesting, exciting, and entertaining, and he wrote all the character's brilliantly, even Doc Ock as Spidey. I'm being a bit unfair there, he did a phenomenal job of writing Doc Ock as Spidey. If I never thought I'd be interested in Dock Ock as Spidey, but Yost wrote him in a way that showed the arrogance, and menace of Doc Ock, as well as showing the partial change in his characteristics, which made him a surprisingly interesting character, something that Slott hasn't done so far in Superior Spider-Man.
I love Marco Checchetto's artwork, and as I said it was the main thing that persuaded me to get this issue (besides the good response), and it didn't disappoint. I was so upset when I heard that he couldn't work on the Punisher: War Zone series, as I loved his art on the main The Punisher series, but I understand how he couldn't, and am glad that he's working on a ongoing series once more. I enjoyed his art on the few pages he drew of The Amazing Spider-Man #699.1, and felt that he'd be brilliant on a Spider-Man related series (even though he's worked on one before), so I wasn't surprised when I noticed his good work on this issue. The detail was phenomenal, and he made every single character look amazing, or in Spider-Man's case superior (pun intended). I seriously think that Checchetto could work on any series and make it look beautiful, but I'm glad that he's on this series, and due to that I may continue getting it. Even the scenery, and backgrounds are amazing, with the characters emotions spot on. The cover for this issue was also phenomenal, and I loved that you got the whole electric feel throughout it, emphasizing Thor, and Electro's roles in the issue. The colours from Rachelle Rosenberg were also brilliant, and really made Checchetto's art stand out.
What a brilliant way top add two big electric based characters than in a team-up series. We already saw Electro and Thor square of during Ends of the Earth, and it's these events that lead to Electro wanting revenge on Thor. The way Yost handled the change in Electro was brilliant, and I loved that it was actually thought out, and not just give him some gizmo that will help him have an advantage over Thor, which you see with other characters often, leading for unimaginative stories. I also liked that Yost included A.I.M. in this as well, as if anyone was going to help Electro make alterations to himself, who better than A.I.M. I was also happy to see that Yost didn't include any leader for A.I.M., like M.O.D.O.K., as that would add to many big names for one, one-shot story.
The way Thor was used during this story was also brilliant, and although he wasn't used quite as much as I'd have hoped for, I'm happy as it was good when he was used, and it might not have been otherwise. You could feel the arrogance, and attitude coming of Thor, as he obviously wasn't worried about Electro, and I loved that he actually told Spider-Man that he was talking too much. The way Thor and Spider-Man interacted was brilliant besides that, and I loved that Doc Ock considered Thor an arrogant fool, and actually considered himself Superior to Thor. It was also nice to see Thor in a pub, and I found it interesting that he noticed a change in Spider-Man's personality, even if he didn't question it much.
The fight between Electro and Thor was also brilliant, and written superbly, as well as being drawn expertly. I wasn't originally going to talk about this as I felt that it may be a spoiler saying that there's a fight, but with the story being Electro wanting revenge on Thor, it'd be stupid if there wasn't one. Anyway without spoilers the fight was amazing, and I liked that Spider-Man got involved. To be honest if it wasn't for the brilliant background work in the fight it probably wouldn't have been as good, but Yost did a fabulous job of it, and like the rest of the book it was well thought out.
Final Verdict
This was an amazing issue, and much more Superior to any of the Superior Spider-Man issues, and I'd be very happy if Yost ever took over writing that series, although I don't see that happening. I'd recommend this issue to anyone, and if you're disappointed in Superior Spider-Man then you defiantly want to give this issue a try, even if you don't continue getting the series.

I have read this series in the past getting the first 8 issues, but it never fully appealed to me, as with most team up series your never sure of what you're going to get, which leads to an inconsistent series, that has a good issue followed by a poor issue. I have however gotten this issue due to it being a tie-in to the 700th issue of The Amazing Spider-Man.
Plot
This issue sees the aftermath of Amazing Spider-Man 700, with Doctor Octopus as the new Spider-Man, taking over Peter Parker's life.
Review
This was a good issue, and a decent follow-up to what was a shocking finally to the Amazing Spider-Man. I've always liked Christopher Yost work, whether that be on Marvel related animated series, or films, X-Force, or Scarlet Spider, and although I don't plan on getting this series on a permanent basis, it's nice to see the series get a decent writer. Although I liked this issue it was far from perfect, and was slow at times. Due to it telling the events of Doc Ock following ASM 700, and due to nothing exciting happening, the quality of the story drops, and it feels more of a set-up to Superior Spider-Man than a follow-up to ASM 700 at times.
I really enjoyed the art in this issue, and Paco Medina did an outstanding job. The way he drew Doc Ock as Spider-Man was brilliant, and you could easily tell that it wasn't really Peter Parker that was in there, as he sit awful moody, and although he appears to be on the side of good, you can still see the devious look on his face whilst he's thinking. I also liked the semi-collage he did on one page showing Doc Ock through the years, and thought it was brillaintlly done, showing ton's of detail. I also loved the cover by Paolo Manuel Rivera, and liked how it shows past fights between Doc Ock and Spider-Man on Doc Ock's Arms.

| Peter's New Attitude |
I liked that we get to see how others react to this new version of "Peter" (Doc Ock), and how he calls his co-workers at Horizon Labs things that Peter would never call them. Doc Ock's actions in general are interesting, and are the main thing that makes this issue an enjoyable read. It was also interesting to see that Doc Ock has continued to live Peter's life the way he has, and most interesting of all, him deciding to date Mary Jane. This has been teased in the last few issues of ASM, with him dating, and even kissing MJ, but now that he is fully in control of Peter's body, without anyone left to stop him, it's interesting to see that he's not just abandoned the other parts of Peter's life.

| Doc Ock Always Loses |
Doc Ock also realises why he always lost to Spider-Man during there fights, and that it wouldn't have mattered how smart he was, that Spider-Man would still win. I also liked the mini flash backs, and how they angered Doc Ock. It's also interesting that Doc Ock noticed during ASM 700 that Spider-Man wasn't using his full power during fights, and this issue has Doc Ock explaining that he will be a better Spider-Man than Peter Parker was.

Doc Ock also creates a new suit, and to be honest I wasn't that impressed with it, as there wasn't much changed from the original design. I do however think it looks more modern, and loved how the colours in the new suit gave off more shine. It was also nice to see Doc Ock inventing things throughout this issue, as if we're going to have to him as Spider-Man for the foreseeable future, it would be nice to see him use his intellect towards some of Peter's attributes, and although Doc Ock is a brilliant scientist in his own right it will make the transition from Peter to Doc Ock easier to swallow. The main thing that I will be looking forward to seeing now that Doc Ock is Spider-Man, is whether he will cross the line that Peter refused to cross, and whether he will kill when necessary.
Final Verdict
This was a good issue and a brilliant follow-up to Amazing Spider-Man 700. I would would however only recommend this to people who have read Amazing Spider-Man 700, or are already collecting the series, and would recommend as a jumping on point without reading Amazing Spider-Man 700 first.

This series has been brilliant and I have enjoyed Yost's work on it as he has shown the transition of Kaine from the villain he was prior to anti-hero he is now perfectly. The art over the series has also been good and Pham along with Brown has done a great job on the last couple of issues. I did prefer Stegman's art but Brown and Pham's are still very good and not far off.
Plot
This issue starts with Scarlet Spider fighting Carnage. Meanwhile Flash is having trouble controlling the Venom symbiote and lands up fighting the Enigma Force. Also the person behind bringing Carnage to the Microverse is revealed and has plans for Carnage and Venom.
Review
This was a great issue and I'm starting to like Scarlet Spider even more. I love how Yost has shaped Kaine over this series taking him from a very selfish person to someone who is wanting to do good, whilst not wanting to admit he's a hero or anything like Spider-Man. I also like how Kain isn't afraid to do what's needed to be done like although he's trying even harder to be a good person this issue he makes it very clear he's wanting to kill Carnage. I have also enjoyed how Yost has introduced a lot of emotion to this series whilst keeping it very fun and entertaining.
Brown and Pham's art is simply amazing and they are brilliant at drawing the symbiotes. Although I said I prefer Stegman's art you can't fault Brown and Pham's and Stegman would have a hard time beating their art on this story. Although some of the art isn't brilliant and the faces in background sequences are terrible they put lot's of detail where it counts and although it would be better with the whole comic having brilliant art you can forgive them due to their detail in one on one fights and when the symbiotes are going crazy.
Another thing I loved about this issue was how we get to see Venom go crazy again. Carnage is always crazy has it's got a psycho controlling it but when I used to read the Venom series most of the time Flash was able to keep it in check due to his military training. It's also nice that both Venom and Carnage are getting tones of page time in this issue and the same for Scarlet Spider in the Venom issue whilst still keeping the title character the main focus. I did however feel this issue that Scarlet Spider didn't play has big a role as he should have and that this part of the story would have probably been better in Venom. It was also nice to see Flash fighting the symbiote inside as it was trying to get out and how he was thinking of Betty who to be honest he's neglected since becoming Venom.
I did however have mixed feelings when the person behind Carnages arrival to the Microverse was revealed and although it was a surprise there wasn't much build up to it and felt it came a bit too sudden. I did however like how he reacted to Venom being there as he only needed Carnage and am his plans for the two look like they will add fun to the remaining two issues of the crossover. The conversation between Carnage and Venom after being captured was also very fun and funny as it was nice seeing Carnage's reaction to Venom who was trying to be very serious.
I'm also interested to see how Scarlet Spider will react when he finds out about the plan involving Venom and Carnage. It will also be interesting to see if the Redeemer or Katy play a bigger role near the end as Katy hasn't been involved as much as she could have and I think the Redeemer's been holding back something.
Final Verdict
This was a brilliant issue and Scarlet Spider is shaping up to be a brilliant series with lots of fun. The Minimum Carnage crossover is also shaping up to be a brilliant story and I'm looking forward to reading the final two parts. I would highly recommend this issue, the entire Scarlet Spider series and this crossover story as they are all brilliant.
